Natural Remedies for Joint Pain

There are various natural remedies for joint pain.  But, first you must determine what is causing the pain.  It could be caused by various health conditions:
  • Skin damage
  • Nerve damage
  • Muscle damage
  • Joint damageknuckle-pain
  • Ligament damage
  • Connective tissue damage
  • Osteoarthritis
The severity and degree of the pain is proportional to the damage in the joint.  The pain may range from a dull ache to sharp throbbing.  The intensity may be more severe at night than during the day.  Depending upon the task at hand, the pain could intensify.  The joint may be so severely impaired that mobility is restricted. The joint pain may be localized or may affect other joints.  Rheumatoid arthritis, which is a chronic autoimmune disease, is associated with joint inflammation, pain and swelling.  When the knuckles are affected, this may develop over time and lead to a chronic condition.  Arthritis, vascular disease or diabetes may affect your entire body.

Natural Remedies Are Available

My favorite website to look for information is Earth Clinic.  This site is created by individuals like you and me who have tried various remedies and share their findings about natural treatments. Perhaps the most used treatment for treatment of joint pain is ingesting aloe vera and rubbing it on sore joints. Bob from Elmhurst Township in Pennsylvania reminded us:

"Almost 100% of people with joint pain are dehydrated from drinking caffeine, alcohol or soda and/or not enough water & sea salt. Google: Pain cured with water & sea salt. The same things are the causes of most health problems.

This site has fantastic info on the water cure & you should go to watercure2.org."

Apple cider vinegar is in my refrigerator and I drink it regularly.  Here is what Iowama wrote about treating her red and swollen fingertips:

"I think apple cider vinegar tea was the first Earth Clinic cure I ever tried and I did so because of the redness and swelling in the joints at my finger tips. I believe the recipe I found here was to put 2 tsp. of apple cider vinegar in a cup. Then I added 1/4 tsp. baking soda and watched it until the fizzing stopped. Then I poured hot water over it to fill the cup. I had to use a little honey until I got used to it. Try a cup a day in the mid morning and see if your fingers start to look and feel better. Don't be afraid of this tea. If you aren't seeing a difference, try another cup late in the afternoon. I didn't drink it with food, but not for any particular reason. Vinegar is acid, but it turns alkaline in the body and you will want to start reading about alkalizing your body if you are dealing with arthritis pain. Another writer mentioned it can damage enamel over time. I always kept my lips pressed against the front of my teeth as I sipped and rinsed with warm water. I gradually quit using it and changed my diet to be more alkalizing, but it was very effective for me."

"I started ACV to try to take care of heartburn... It has worked WONDERS on my aching hands, feet, joints... After just one week I can feel an amazing difference in how I feel when I first get out of bed in the morning. My Mother has had severe RA for over 20 years and I was starting to worry that I was in route to RA. Hope this helps someone who has MAJOR pain in joints... Especially in the mornings..."
