Avecho and Sandoz Forge Exclusive Partnership for CBD Insomnia Treatment
Avecho Biotechnology and Sandoz Group AG have entered into a ten-year exclusive licensing and development agreement to commercialize a cannabidiol (CBD) capsule aimed at treating insomnia in Australia. Under the terms of the agreement, Sandoz will pay an upfront licensing fee of US$3 million and collaborate with Avecho to secure TGA regulatory approval following the ongoing Phase III clinical trial that Avecho will continue to fund and oversee. This partnership addresses the increasing demand for over-the-counter CBD products in Australia, focusing on providing effective treatments for the millions affected by insomnia.
